Marsh Farm Country Park

The country park is an ideal place to stretch your legs and explore the scenic riverside paths along the sea wall. The grazing marshes of the park were created by the Dutch during the 17th century when they drained the marshes and built the sea wall. Today they comprise many rare plants including sea barley and grass vetchling and are an important feeding ground for hundreds of over-wintering birds, including Brent geese.

  • Walk or ride around the sea wall and take in the views of the grazing marshes and the River Crouch.
  • Some grass and gravel paths

The country park is open daily from 8:00am till dusk
